Project Overview
Background
The Lazy Girl Job program, a Notion workspace, helps Millennials and Gen Z find job opportunities that prioritize work-life balance. Gabrielle Judge collaborated with Sprintfolio and Bullet.so that they can enhance their AI jobs program and aim to increase product sales by more than 10%.

Sprintfolio is an online community connecting designers and clients. Members apply, join projects, and gain experience in design, research, content, and development.
Challenge
Managing job search content on both Notion and Kahana, including free and paid materials, posed challenges for customers and clients. The focus is on enhancing The Lazy Girl Job program's Notion workspace to ensure a smoother job search experience.
Solution
Incorporating bespoke templates from Bullet.so, adding essential features like undo/redo functionality and a search bar, and providing dedicated help resources to transform the workspace into an intuitive platform.

Heruistic Evaluation
I collaborated with the content designer and conducted a heuristic evaluation using Jakob Nielsen’s 10 Usability Heuristics to assess critical issues in the Notion-hosted Lazy Girl Job program against industry-standard principles for usability. The review aimed to identify and prioritize usability issues that impact the overall user experience.

Based on my heuristic evaluation, I have identified the following critical usability issues that require attention to significantly enhance the usability of the Notion page for the Lazy Girl Job Program, and approximately 85% of the identified issues in the heuristic evaluation can be grouped into three main categories.

We took what we learned from our heuristic evaluation and identified the important features through collaborative brainstorming sessions facilitated by Figjam, a collaborative tool. Employing affinity mapping and a priority matrix, we gained insights into the significance of each feature, guiding our efforts in redesigning the Notion page and creating a collaborative website in partnership with Bullet.
Recommendation
We prioritize the most critical usability issues that can make significant improvements to the usability of the Notion page for the Lazy Girl Job Bootcamp within the given timeframe.
Search Bar
Improve user efficiency by implementing a search bar to address the current lack of quick information retrieval.

Information Architecture
We organized everything by categories and topics that make sense to users. We also used clear labels and words that stay the same throughout the whole program, so it's not confusing. To help users find what they need quickly, we set up a clear order of importance for information and features. This way, using our program is a breeze, and users can easily find and do what they want.
Redesign
Used the Bullet.so to create the site
Our challenge was integrating Bullet. So and Notion into the website redesign. We used the Bullet. So Bespoke template is the foundation for creating the site.
We prioritized a responsive and visually appealing design, utilizing the template's aesthetic elements and ensuring compatibility across different devices and screen sizes. To streamline the development process, we took advantage of the template's pre-built components to speed up the creation of the site and efficiently introduce necessary elements.

In conclusion, our utilization of smart tools like ChatGPT has proven invaluable in expediting certain aspects of our design process, aiding in planning and code writing. While this tool is beneficial, it's important to acknowledge its limitations, particularly in the organization of content and information.

Initially, we prioritized desktop screens, assuming users would focus on job application documents during program use. However, we now recognize the importance of prioritizing mobile screens to enhance the user experience.

Despite the importance of testing the design with users, the reality of time constraints poses a current challenge. Nevertheless, this underlines the need for ongoing efforts to incorporate user feedback and refine our design strategies as we strive to create a more user-centric and efficient digital experience.

Reflections
In reflecting on our project, it's clear that the input from both users and clients played a crucial role in shaping our approach. The challenges we encountered, such as content management issues and dissatisfaction with visual design, served as valuable lessons. The feedback about the combination of Notion and Kahana for content provision highlighted areas for improvement.

Understanding the importance of delivering information swiftly to job seekers influenced our design choices. Transitioning to Notion and Bullet. so allowed us to emphasize clarity and consistency in the user experience. Looking back, the journey-focused approach we adopted has been instrumental in addressing user needs and enhancing overall satisfaction. Moving forward, continuous reflection and user feedback will remain essential in refining and evolving our design strategies.
